All about the prints

Print Finishes

  • Metallic - Featureing a unique pearlescent surface to bring out sharp details and color saturation, metallic prints are very high gloss.
  • Fine art - A matte no gloss 100% cotton paper with a smooth surface texture that guarantees archival standards. Ideal for printing both black and white and color photographs and art reproductions with impressive depth.
  • Canvas - Ready to hang canvas print stretched and wrapped around a 5/8" thick wood frame.
  • Acrylic - After the image is printed directly to acrylic, a layer of opaque white is applied to the back to highlight color and detail.

Caring for Prints

  • Wall hanging photographs shouldn’t be hung in areas of direct sunlight because over time it will cause fading and breaking down of the print – I’m sure everyone has seen the effects of sunlight on faded furniture. UV glass can help mitigate some of this and is highly recommended. Canvas wraps often have a varnish for providing some UV protection and should be dusted off periodically (without any chemicals, water, etc). Areas in the house near heat sources which can cause high variability in temperature should also be avoided to maximize the lifespan of prints.
